GOLF: Miller finishes second in Bowling Green

RICHMOND — Richmond’s Zach Miller turned in a very strong performance Monday at the Musselman-Dunne Golf Tour event at the Bowling Green Country Club.

Miller shot a +3, 75, and finished second in the boys 13-14 year-old division. He finished just three strokes behind the winner, Jay Kirchdorfer of Louisville.

Richmond’s MacKenzie Neal finished eighth in the girls 14-15 year-old division. She shot a +14, 86, but was only four shots behind the division winner, Kylie Lysack of Georgetown.

In the boys championship division, Richmond’s Burgess E. Clark finished tied for 16th, +8, 80, and Richmond’s Trent Renfro finished 28th, +18, 90.

Hamrick takes third

Richmond’s Mason Hamrick just came up short of a championship Monday at Kentucky PGA Junior Tour event at the University Club of Kentucky.

Hamrick finished third, just one stroke behind two players — Luke Coyle of Campbellsville and Jason Wang of Lexington — in the boys 10-and-under division.

Hamrick shot a +11, 47 and finished three strokes ahead of the fourth-place finisher.
