Berea Community High School scramble
Last Saturday, 20 golfers took to the links at Berea Country Club in a fund-raiser for Berea Community High School golf teams.
They teed off swinging in the rain (drizzle) at 9 a.m.
The best mudders were Matt and Britt Collins, Trevor Woods and Jerry Mullins with a fine 17-under par 55. Second Place went to Scott McIntosh, Stacey Edwards, Jody Glenn and Ashley Cummings with a 56.
In the special events, the closest to the pin winners were: No. 5 – Britt Collins, No. 14 – Chuck Morgan. Long Drive on No. 6 was Ray Himes.

Saturday and Sunday at Berea Country Club – One male/one female team tournament. Entry fee is $60 and includes two days of golf, dinner and dance Saturday night and cash prizes. (cart not included) Tee time at 1 p.m. both days with $20 calcutta available for each flight; one mulligan and one skirt $5 per person each day. Call the pro shop 986-7141 to sign up!

Aug. 17 – The Legends Senior Tournament at Berea Country Club. Tee time at 9 a.m. Entry fee varies with age – 90+ = $5; 80-89 = $10; 70-79 = $15; 60-69 = $20; 50-59 = $25 and 40-49 = $30. (Carts not included) Golfers 70 and over hit from the gold tees. This is a fun tournament to thank these guys who have stuck with the game over the years. Cash prizes will be awarded.
