Rockcastle County 69, Berea Community 39

The Pirates (5-18) fell behind early and couldn’t find a way to bounce back Tuesday on the road.

Dustan Kates had 11 points and five rebounds and Bradley Atkins added nine points and six rebounds as Berea Community fell at Rockcastle County, 69-39.

The Pirates trailed 18-11 after the first quarter and 40-24 at halftime. Berea shot 40 percent from the field and had 21 turnovers.

Trey Terrill had eight points, eight rebounds and two assists, Austin Warford had five points, Sam Shearer had four points and Cameron Coyle added two points.

Berea is set to return to action Friday at home against Estill County.
