The Lady Patriots used a big first half to roll to an easy win over Oneida Baptist Friday in Richmond.

Mallie Cornett had 25 points and sophomore Hayley Hunt had 22 points as Model improved to 2-0 on the season with a 69-35 victory. Kasi Schneid added 13 points for the Lady Patriots.

“We played fairly well, not great,” Model coach Ronald Preece said. “We still had too many turnovers.”

Model led 29-12 after the first quarter and was up 46-17 at half.

The Lady Patriots had 16 turnovers. Chloe Dyer had four points, Charity Mack and Abby Vicars had two points each and Lauren Jackson had one point.

Model is set to return to action at 3 p.m. today at Sayre.
