GOLF: Hamrick, Neal lead at KY Junior Amateur

RICHMOND — A pair of Madison County golfers are in first place in their age group after the opening round of the Kentucky Junior Amateur Championship.

Richmond’s Mason Hamrick shot a +2, 37 on Tuesday and has a six-shot lead in the boys 10-and-under division.

Richmond’s McKenzie Neal shot a +9, 80, on Tuesday and has a one-shot lead in the girls 13-15 year-old division.

The event is being played at the My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course in Bardstown. The final round is scheduled for today.

Clark takes third

Richmond’s Reagan Clark took third place in the girls 12-and-under division at the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour event Monday at Eagle Trace Golf Course.

She shot a +24, 60.
