Zack Lewis ties for 12th in Louisville

Richmond native Zack Lewis finished tied for 12th on the Musselman-Dunne Tour event held Friday at Charlie Vettiner Golf Club in Louisville.
Lewis shot a 16-over par 88 and finished in a three-way tie for 12th in the 14-15-year-old division.
Grant Willoughby of Richmond is in 20th place in the 13-14 division on the Pepsi Junior Tour, which is at The Bull Golf Course. Willoughby shot a 92 on the first day of play.
Kiera McEvoy, also a Richmond native, is in sixth place in the girl’s 13-15 division after the first day of play at The Bull. McEvoy shot a 111, leading Lexington’s Chelsea Humlong by 15 strokes.
On Thursday in the Kentucky Junior Amateur, Kyle Congleton tied for 28th in the 15-16-year-old division. Congleton shot a 16-over par, dropping from ninth place on the first day of play after shooting a four-over.
In the 17-18 category, EKU’s Zack Butler tied for eighth with a one-over par after shooting a three-under on the final day of play.
Richmond native Adam Herald finished in 43rd place with a 19-over par.

Berea Community to hold golf informational meeting
There will be a meeting for any Berea Community student interested in playing golf in front of the high school on Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. and is open to parents and athletes.
