All-Stars rained out

Register Staff Report

Rain washed away all the scheduled action on Sunday at the District 3 Little League All-Star Tournaments in Harrodsburg and Cynthania.

Five Richmond teams were supposed to take the field on the second day of play in the tournaments.

Because of the rainouts, the schedule for the events have been shuffled.

In action set for today, the Richmond National 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars will take on Winchester National at 8 p.m. in Harrodsburg. The Richmond National 11-year-old All-Stars will face Winchester at 8 p.m. in Cynthania and the Richmond National 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars will take on Winchester American at 8 p.m. in Cynthania.

The tournaments got under way on Saturday at both locations.

On the first day of action in Cynthania, the 9- and 10-year-old Richmond American All-Stars picked up a 12-11 victory over Winchester National. The 9- and 10-year-old Richmond National All-Stars picked up a 16-6 win over the Eastern American All-Stars, and the 10- and 11-year-old Richmond American All-Stars picked up a 12-1 win over Harrison County.

The 10- and 11-year-old Richmond National All-Stars were scheduled to play on Saturday, but that game was rained out.

Saturday in Harrods-burg, the Richmond National 11- and 12 year-old All-Star team rolled to a convincing 12-1 win over Winchester National. The Richmond American 11- and 12-year old All-Stars put together a late rally, but fell to Mercer County, 4-3, on Saturday.
