Drugs, cash seized from Dreyfus home

RICHMOND — Local law enforcement agencies arrested three people and seized hundreds of illegal pills and other drugs plus $13,683 in cash Saturday from a Dreyfus Road home.

The drugs included 404 methodone tablets, an ounce of crystal meth and synthetic marijuana, according to Sgt. Jake Reed, Berea Police Department spokesperson.

Police also found several items of drug paraphernalia, including scales and plastic baggies, Reed added.

Berea officers were assisted by Richmond police and Madison County Sheriff’s deputies in executing a search warrant in the 2000 block of Dreyfus Road, he said

The home’s two residents, Harold Fowler, 53, and Gwendolyn Fowler, 24, were arrested, along with Richard Haight, 27.

Harold Fowler was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (hallucinogen) and drug-paraphernalia possession.

Gwendolyn Fowler had a suboxone tablet in her purse and was in possession of several drug-paraphernalia items, according to police. She was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance and drug-paraphernalia possession.

Haight had several hydrocodone tablets in his possession and was charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance, the police report stated.

All three were taken to the Madison County Detention Center, from which Gwendolyn Fowler was released Sunday afternoon. The other two remained there Tuesday morning, according to the jail’s online records.
