First-grade "puppies" celebrate 101st day of school

RICHMOND — Heather Fain’s Glenn Marshall Elementary first-grade class celebrated the 101st Day of First Grade dressed as the 101 Dalmatians.

"Everyone celebrates the 100th, and Ms. Fain likes to be different," Fain said.

Each of the students wore homemade shirts with 101 spots. In class, they made paper ears with 101 spots and dog collars with 101 pieces of Honeycomb cereal. In addition to the 101 day themed activities and snacks, each student gave themselves puppy names which varied from “Snowball” to “Fred.”
