NAACP Freedom Fund banquet Oct. 27

RICHMOND — Tickets are on sale for the Richmond-Madison County Branch of the NAACP’s annual Freedom Fund banquet.

The banquet, with the theme “Insuring Our Future Through Participation,” is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Armed Forces Reserve Center at the entrance of the Blue Grass Army Depot.

John Johnson, executive director of the Kentucky Human Rights Commission, will be the guest speaker. Local NAACP Youth Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the banquet.

Cost for the buffet dinner is $ 25 each. Tickets are available from branch officers or by calling (859) 544-1390. The Armed Forces Reserve Center’s address is 233 Battlefield Memorial Hwy. (US 421).
