Barr, Benson to welcome veterans back to EKU

RICHMOND — Congressman Andy Barr and EKU President Michael Benson will host a picnic Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to welcome student veterans back to campus.

The picnic will take place at the Burnam House, located, north of Irvine-McDowell Park at 317 Lancaster Ave.

EKU has a military veteran population of more than 1,200 students and their families. The Military Times EDGE magazine has rated EKU the number one school for veterans nationally two of the past three years.
