Young Writers Camp registration deadline Wednesday

RICHMOND — Wednesday is the deadline for rising second- and eighth-graders to register for the EKU Writing Project’s Young Writers Camps.

The three one-week camp sessions will offer daily writing time, field trips and a publication party to celebrate student work. The first week of camp features a visit from Kentucky author George Ella Lyon.

Camps will be June 10-14, June17-21 and June 24-28 at Model Laboratory School.

Students may choose a half-day session from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for $90 per week, or a full-day session from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for $175 per week. Sibling discounts and need-based scholarships are available.
