Two assistant superintendents also leaving

Other leadership jobs changing

MADISON COUNTY — In addition to Superintendent Tommy Floyd’s announcement Monday that he is leaving, several other central office changes are in the works.

Randy Peffer

Assistant superintendent for academics Randy Peffer, who replaced Tommy Floyd as chief academic officer in April 2008, is joining the Kentucky Department of Education as an education recovery leader in Jefferson County.

Marvin Welch

Assistant Superintendent Marvin Welch, who came to Madison County Schools in July 2008 as supervisor of elementary instruction and became chief operations officer in July 2010, is retiring June 30.

Kevin Hub

Dr. Kevin Hub, who has served Madison County Schools as a teacher, assistant principal, human resources director and assistant superintendent, will become chief operations officer July 1.

Dustin Brumbaugh

Dustin Brumbaugh, principal at Kirksville Elementary School, will become the school district’s human resources director.

The Kirksville Elementary Site-Based Decision-Making Council announced Sunday that Starla Browne will be the school’s new principal. Browne currently is a reading recovery specialist at Kingston Elementary.

Bob Moore

Bob Moore came to Madison County Schools in February 2013 as director of technology for the district. He replaced Charlene McGee who retired after 20-plus years with Madison County Schools.

Richard Lowe

Principal Lowe is retiring after 28 years in education, nine of them as principal at Mayfield Elementary. The school’s site-based decision-making council is scheduled to select a new principal this week.

Pam Hogge

Pam Hogge is retiring after 27 years of service to Madison County Schools. She has served as administrative assistant to the superintendent since January 2001.

She has worked with three superintendents — Mike Caudill, Glenn Marshall and Tommy Floyd.

Jeanne Caldwell is replacing Hogge and began training in February 2013.
