Single Mom’s Oil Change

MADISON COUNTY — Dozens of volunteers from the First Baptist Church on the Eastern Bypass and workers from Carquest Auto Parts serviced 127 vehicles Saturday as part of the church’s Single Mom’s Oil Change.

Youth members of the church also gave free car washes.

The free services also were provided to widows and wives of deployed soldiers.

Vehicles were given inspections as well, and volunteers were able to do small fixes, such as replacing bulbs, thanks to supplies donated by the auto parts store.

The next Single Mom’s Oil Change will be Sept. 21.
