Governor appoints Richmond residents to commission, boards

RICHMOND — Gov. Steve Beshear recently appointed or reappointed three Madison County residents to state boards and commissions this week.

Robert Joseph Roberts, of Richmond, was reappointed to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission for a term expiring June 19, 2017. This order is effective June 20, 2013.

Roberts is an insurance agent with R.J. Roberts Inc. He represents citizens at-large.

Robert S. Weise, of Richmond, was reappointed to the Kentucky Historic Preservation Review Board for a term expiring July 15, 2015.

Weise is a historian with Eastern Kentucky University. He represents architectural historians.

Beshear appointed Richmond resident Sandra Anez Powell to the Child Labor Committee to serve at the pleasure of the governor.

Powell is a social service coordinator at Foothills Community Action Partnership. She represents the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights.
