Free ‘Shred Day’ Saturday at Lowes

RICHMOND — The local community will have the opportunity to safely destroy documents containing personal information at a free Community Shred Day event at Lowes Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Cintas employees will be on-site to shred documents, which will be constantly monitored and protected from drop-off to destruction, according to a release from the Better Business Bureau, which also is hosting the vent.

A strict 5-box limit will be enforced to reduce waiting times. Paper clips and rubber bands are permitted, but CDs, binders, electronics, pharmaceutical bottles or other media will not be accepted.
