MADISON COUNTY —
Weather forecasters have downgraded an earlier estimate of 3 inches of snow in Madison County to just 1 inch through Tuesday night.
Tuesday evening’s mix of rain and snow is forecasted to switch over to snow at 1 a.m. early Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Although earlier projections predicted 3 inches of snow, by late Tuesday afternoon, those estimates had changed to 1 inch.
Scattered snow showers are expected throughout Wednesday, mainly before 4 p.m. The high will be near 29 degrees with a northwest wind at 16 to 18 mph. Gusts are expected up to 26 mph.
The snow will taper off Wednesday night, but the wind chill will be as low as 8 F.
The forecast so far for Thanksgiving Day is sunny with a high near 34.
