Register columnist recovering from broken hip

RICHMOND —

Dick Ham, whose column appears on page 5 of the Richmond Register each Tuesday is recovering from surgery and will be undergoing physical therapy after suffering a broken hip Friday.

Although his column appears in today’s newspaper, he may have to miss the next two weeks or so.

He fell while visiting relatives in Owensboro but came back to Richmond for the surgery.

“Tell my readers I apologize for not being able to write for a while, and I covet their prayers for my recovery,” he said.

The accident has been the most painful experience of his life, Ham said.
