Lexington man charged with robbery at Super Save grocery store

RICHMOND —

Man charged with drug possession after car accident

Police charged Frank Ray, 31, North Madison Avenue, with a drug offense Friday following a traffic accident.

Officers responded at 1:45 p.m. to a report of a minor traffic collision at Tates Creek Road and South Keeneland Drive, according to the RPD report. The investigating officer reported that Ray was under the influence of an intoxicant and took him into custody on a charge of driving under the influence.

A subsequent check of Ray’s vehicle produced 11 methadone pills, the report stated.

Ray was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

• The owner of Tsing Tao restaurant, 300 W. Main St., reported that the business had been unlawfully entered during the night and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. The point of entry was not determined.

Thursday

• A complainant reported Thursday that her guitar had been stolen from the Lancaster Road Church of God sometime between Dec. 3 and Dec. 4. The stolen item was described as a white, Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV Pro electric bass guitar. Estimated loss is $500.
