Register staff report
The Kentucky State Police were able to quickly find a Madison County child who went missing from his home Monday night.
KSP Post 7 in Richmond received a call about the missing 8-year-old boy at 10 p.m., post spokesman Trooper Paul Blanton said. The child was last seen in his home on Raven Drive, which is in the Eagles Landing subdivision off Menelaus Road,.
He had been missing for about 45 minutes when the call came in, Blanton said.
The boy hadn’t wanted to go to bed, and he was able to sneak out of the house with a pillow and blanket, according to the KSP. When an adult checked on him later, believing he was in bed, it was discovered he was gone and the police were called.
The boy was found shortly after 11 p.m. in the subdivision, Blanton said.
No charges were filed in the incident, according to Blanton.
