Recycling old electronics

Madison County Recycling Center

MADISON COUNTY — Madison County residents brought mountains of old electronics Saturday to the Richmond/Madison County Recycling Center. The event, which ran 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., had people lining up on the road leading to the center at 8:30 a.m., one worker said.

Computers, flatbed scanners, printers, monitors, TVs and many other types of electronics were taken out of cars and trucks and piled inside the center. The items will be taken to Kentucky Recycling, a Richmond business that specializes in electronic scrap, for further processing.
