Approximately 1,200 feet of 500 MCM electrical wiring, valued at $15,000, was stolen over the weekend from a building being remodeled at 690 Eastern Bypass, according to a Richmond Police Chief Larry Brock.
The wiring was cut from the building, a foreman overseeing the project told police. There were no signs of forced entry into the building, the police chief said.
• The owner of an unoccupied residence on North Third Street that is undergoing renovation reported Tuesday that the home had been broken into overnight hours and a 3 by 7 feet, oyster-gray marble counter top was stolen. The counter top, valued at $400, contained two sink cutouts. Entry was gained by breaking a basement window, according to the police report.
