MADISON COUNTY —
Roadwork contracts totaling nearly $1 million were awarded by the state recently for asphalt rehabilitation on two Madison County roads.
The two contracts were for:
• A one-mile section of KY 52/Irvine Road, from 1,225 feet east of KY 374 to Moberly Road. Allen Company Inc. was awarded the project for $146,394. Comple
• Two sections of US 421, including a 2.4-mile section from the Rockcastle County line to KY 21 and a 3.4-mile section from Hays Fork Bridge to US 25. The Allen Company was awarded the contract for $776,852.
Nov. 15 is the completion date for both projects.
Overall, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awarded more than $27 million in contracts this month for asphalt rehabilitation projects across the state.
