Richmond gas stations robbed over the weekend

RICHMOND — Two Richmond gas stations were robbed at gunpoint this weekend.

The first robbery occurred at 10:30 p.m. Friday at the D & G Citgo Food Mart, 1699 East Main St., according to the Richmond Police Department.

A man entered the store and demanded money while holding two employees at gunpoint.

The robber was a white man, 5 feet, 6 inches, to 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 130 to 140 lbs. He was wearing a blue or black hoodie with blue jeans, a gray toboggan and a dark brown bandana. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the RPD said.

The second robbery happened at 10:49 p.m. Sunday at the Redi Mart on Redhouse Road.

In this instance the man also held employees at gunpoint while demanding money.

The suspect was described as a white man, 5 feet, 10 inches, to 6 feet tall and weighing 140 to 145 lbs.

The man was wearing a blue hoodie with khakis and a black jacket, the RPD said.

This robber also fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The RPD has posted surveillance camera pictures of the robbers on its Facebook page.
