MADISON COUNTY —
The FBI was active in rural Madison County on Wednesday, however, an agency spokesperson said no information would be released about what its agents were doing here.
The FBI executed a warrant on Ford Road, between Red House-Boonesboro Road and the Kentucky River, according to Kentucky State Police Post 7 spokesman Trooper Paul Blanton.
Blanton said he did not know if it the warrant an arrest or a search, but someone was taken into police custody.
Officers with the KSP Drug Enforcement Special Investigation unit were involved along with Richmond Police Department uniformed officers who provided support, Blanton said.
Special Agent Mary Trotman, the media coordinator for the FBI’s Louisville office, said the federal agency would not be releasing any information about Wednesday’s activity in Madison County because it was part of an ongoing investigation.
