Thefts & burglaries
The following thefts and burglaries were reported to Richmond police from Aug. 19 to Sunday:
An employee of Speedway, Eastern Bypass, reported that she inadvertently left her Galaxy Nexus cellular telephone (Sprint) in a pink Otter Box in the restroom. When she realized her error and returned to the restroom, the telephone had been taken. Estimated loss: $400.
A resident in the 300 block of Mannington Court reported that several items had been stolen from his garage some time during the past two weeks. There were no signs of forced entry. The following items were reported missing: a black and silver Memphis 1000-watt amplifier; a silver Gothic 540-watt amplifier; an Audiobahn 1000-watt amplifier; a 12-inch square Kicker subwoofer in a black carpeted box; and an AutoNavi navigation system. Estimated loss: $1,500.
A resident in the 400 block of Norwood Drive reported that a white stone unicorn statue had been stolen from her front yard during the morning. The unicorn was in a laying down position with the statue being approximately 3 feet long and 1 foot tall. Estimated loss: $200.
A complainant reported that she inadvertently left her wallet on the counter at the Walmart pharmacy. Upon realizing her error and returning, the victim found that her wallet had been taken. The wallet was a brown and purple leather clutch that contained credit cards and personal identification documents. Two suspects identified in the theft were described as:
• White female, approximately 45 to 50 years old, heavy build, brown hair in a bun, wearing glasses, a purple shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
• White male, approximately 45 to 50 years old, heavy build, long gray hair, facial hair, wearing a blue hat, gray sleeveless shirt with lettering, blue shorts, and black and white athletic shoes.
