Churches planning Christmas services

RICHMOND — Area churches will be conducting special services on Friday and Saturday in honor of Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Following is a list of available church services:

• Union City Christian Church, 2473 Union City Rd., Richmond — Friday: Christmas Service and music by children’s choir, 6:30 p.m.

• Union Church, 213 Prospect St., Berea — Friday: Christmas Eve Service and potluck, 5:30 p.m.

• Kirksville Baptist Church, 542 Kirksville Rd., Richmond — Saturday: Christmas Candlelight service, 8 p.m.

• St. Mark Catholic Church, 608 W. Main St., Richmond — Friday: Family Liturgy, 4 p.m.; Saturday: Solemn Mass at Midnight, midnight; Mass for Christmas Morning, 10 a.m.; Mass is at 8:30 and 11 a.m. There is no 4 p.m. mass.

• First Christian Church, 412 W. Main St., Richmond — Friday: Christmas Eve Service, 5:30 p.m,; Candlelight Service, 11 p.m.

• First United Methodist Church, 401 E. Main St., Richmond — Friday, Candlelight Service, 5 p.m., Candlelight and Communion Service, 11 p.m.

• First Baptist Church, 425 E. Bypass, Richmond — Friday: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, 5 p.m.; Saturday: Drop-in meal, 1-4 p.m.

• First Baptist Church, 302 Francis St., Richmond — Friday: Christmas Eve Service, 5:30 p.m.; Candlelight Service, 11 p.m.

• Berea Baptist Church, 310 Chestnut St., Berea — Friday: Christmas Eve Worship, 11:15 p.m.

• First Presbyterian Church, 330 W. Main St., Richmond — Friday: Christmas Eve activities, 4 p.m.; Dinner, 5 p.m.; worship, 7 p.m.

• Episcopal Church of Our Savior, 2323 Lexington Rd., Richmond — Friday: Christmas music, 8:30 p.m., Christmas Eve service, 9 p.m.; Saturday: Feast of Our Lord’s Nativity, 10 a.m.

(Any church service not listed can be placed in Friday’s newspaper if the announcement is received by noon on Thursday.)
