Indiana man indicted in road rage incident

RICHMOND — A Madison grand jury this week indicted Perrin Dobyns, 50, of Corydon, Ind., on a count of first-degree wanton endangerment after he allegedly pointed a bb gun at a vehicle on the Interstate 75 in Madison County.

On Sept. 29, Madison County resident David Kollar reported seeing a car operated by Dobyns pass another vehicle in the emergency lane, then spar with the other vehicle in what appeared to be an attempt to run it off the road.

Kollar began shooting a video from his smartphone in an attempt to identify Dobyns or his car. He posted the video on YouTube before it was taken down later that day. The video showed the passenger-side window of Dobyns’ car open and Dobyns pointing what appeared to be a handgun in the direction of Kollar’s vehicle. Kollar then got off the interstate and called the police, he said.

The Kentucky State Police, with help from The Indiana State Police, located Dobyns at the Branchville Correctional Facility in Branchville, Ind., where he worked, according to a KSP news release.
