Truck, boat set on fire in county

MADISON COUNTY — The Kentucky State Police is investigating two suspicious fires that occurred Tuesday in Madison County.

A person called 911 at 11:13 p.m. reporting a fire on Woodridge Way, according to a KSP news release. The Berea Fire Department responded and discovered a fishing boat burning beside a residence. A Ford Ranger pickup was burning behind another residence, the release stated.

The boat was a total loss while the truck had minor damage, the KSP reported.

Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator Pat Alford is investigating the fires. Anyone with information about the fire is encouraged to call the KSP at 623-2404 or the Arson Task Force at 800-27-ARSON.
