RICHMOND — Alan Long, a CPA and managing partner of Baldwin & Associates PLLC in Richmond; and Holly Wiedemann, a Wilmore architect, developer and founder of AU Associates in Lexington, joined the Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents on Monday.

Long, who earned a bachelor’s degree from EKU in 1979, was appointed by Gov. Steve Beshear to fill the unexpired term of Anita Johnson who had resigned. The term ends June 30.

Wiedemann, whose firm specializes in the restoration and adaptation of historic buildings for new uses, was appointed to replace Gary Abney, whose term had expired. Wiedemann’s term expires June 30, 2019.

The board re-elected Craig Turner as chair, Ernie House as vice chair, Steve Fulkerson as secretary and Barry Poynter as treasurer.

The meeting was conducted in the Foster Music Building as part of an effort to rotate board meetings among the university’s academic colleges. The session included performances by EKU music students.
