Union City Day

Register Staff Report

Rainy weather didn’t dampen the spirit of those who turned out for Union City Day on Saturday.

The people of the community came to together buy or sell at yard sales and enjoy live music while helping raise money for the Ruritan Club’s floor replacement fund.

Several items were raffled for the fundraising effort.

A quilt donated by Mary Sewell was won by McKinley Sewell. Janet Eades won a 32-inch TV, while Charles Cochran and Robert Murphy GPS units, Marty Sewell won a set of Paula Deen cookware, and Amanda Eades won a fire extinguisher.
