KSP Jingle in July 5K slated for July 27

GARRARD COUNTY — A 5K race to benefit the Kentucky State Police Shop With a Trooper program is planned for July 27 with early registration ending Friday.

The Jingle in July 5K run/walk begins at 8 a.m. at the Garrard County High School, 599 Industry Road, Lancaster. On-site registration will be from 7 to 7:45 a.m.

Registration completed before Friday is $15 and $10 for runners 18 and under. Sign-ups after Friday are $20, and $15 for runners 18 and under.

The race will have 14 age divisions, and awards will be given for first, second and third place men and women in each division. Every participant will receive a T-shirt.

Trophies also will be awarded to the overall male and female winners.

Water will be provided on the course.
