I-75 lane closure scheduled for this weekend in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY — One lane of southbound Interstate 75 at the Clay’s Ferry Bridge in Madison County will be closed starting this evening through Sunday afternoon, according to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The closure will start at 8 p.m. today and continue until 3 p.m. Sunday.

The closures is necessary for surface friction and additional testing to be conducted as part of the National Transportation Product Evaluation Program, the release stated.

Other closures connected with the project will occur this weekend in Fayette and Woodford counties. One lane of eastbound Interstate 64 will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Sunday at mile marker 73 in Fayette County.

One lane of eastbound I-64 at mile marker 62 in Woodford County also will be closed during the same time period.
