Jeremy Roberts, 26, of Battlefield Memorial Highway, who was on parole was charged Thursday in connection with an assault that occurred in July.
According to a Richmond Police Department news release, at 1:16 a.m. July 7, an officer was dispatched to Merrick Shell to investigate an assault. Upon arrival, the officers found a male lying unconscious on the ground with a laceration on the back of his head.
Police determined the victim became involved in an argument with two men in a nearby vehicle after exiting the business. The two men got out of their vehicle and assaulted him, punching the victim in the face and knocking him unconscious. The attackers then returned to their vehicle and fled, the release stated.
On July 23, police arrested Danthony Chambers, 21, of Brenwood Drive, in connection with the incident.
Roberts was on parole when the incident occurred, after being convicted of two separate drug offenses. A parole violation warrant was issued Aug. 22 for Roberts, and he was taken into custody Thursday at his residence.
Both Roberts and Chambers have been lodged in the Madison County Detention Center, where they remained Monday evening, according to the jail’s online records.
Woman Charged with Criminal abuse
Virginia Miller, 27, of South Keeneland Drive, was charged Friday with second-degree criminal abuse following a social services complaint, according to the release.
Officers were dispatched to Miller's residence at 4:52 p.m. to assist social services workers investigating a report of child abuse. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 10-year-old child in Miller's care who had bruises under his eye and on his thigh.
Officers determined the bruises came from Miller striking the child while disciplining him, the release stated.
Miller was lodged in the detention center and released Monday, according to the jail’s online records.
Man charged with burglary, assault
Police charged Daniel A. Cornelison, 27, of Salter Road, Saturday with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault in connection with a break in.
According to the release, officers were dispatched at 2:25 a.m. to a residence on Keri Ann Drive. Upon arrival, the officers learned the female resident had just arrived home when Cornelison burst in through the front door and began “tearing up” the residence, the report stated.
The resident told police she ordered Cornelison out of the home. He left the residence and the woman closed the door and blocked it with a couch.
A short time later, Cornelison tried unsuccessfully to enter through the door again. He then broke a window and re-entered the house. Once inside, Cornelison grabbed the victim’s arm, bruising her, the report stated.
Cornelison was lodged in the detention center, where he remained Monday night, according to the jail’s online records.
Woman arrested on drug charges
Tiffany Davidson, 22, of Irvine, was charged Saturday with first-degree drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to a drug report at Peddler’s Mall.
Upon arrival at 5:03 p.m., officers encountered Davidson in the store’s restroom. A search recovered a large rubber band, a spoon and a small bag of suspected cocaine.

Woman arrested in connection with August theft
Jennifer Fugate, 26, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking of more than $500 and theft by deception under $500 in connection with an August incident.
According to the report, on Aug. 28 a complainant reported $3,650 worth of jewelry had been stolen from her residence over the course of a couple months.
Officers discovered Fugate had been in possession of the stolen items and had transferred them to another party months before the thefts had been discovered.
Fugate was interviewed at the police station, where she was charged. She was lodged in the detention center, but was released later the same day.
