RICHMOND —

Arrest made in connection with previously-reported theft

Danny Peters, 49, of Fifth Street, was arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery from another residence on the street reported earlier in the month.

On June 10, a resident reported his home had been broken into and about $17,211 worth of jewelry and electronics had been stolen.

On June 15, officers encountered Peters and two others in a vehicle with several items believed to be stolen. Information passed to the police confirmed that two laptops, a hard drive, and some items of jewelry found in the car were stolen. After a follow-up investigation, police charged Peters with second-degree burglary. He remained in jail Friday under a $7,500 bond.
