RICHMOND — Lillie, Abby, Sneetches, Scrum and Morgan never miss a chance to hear a good story at the Madison County Public Library in Richmond.

These trained therapy dogs are willing to lend a furry ear to any young reader wanting to practice their reading skills during Paws to Read, scheduled the first and third Monday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m.

During that hour, children who finish three books win a prize and are entered into a drawing to win a second prize, usually books or gift cards.
