Search continues for missing teen

Register Staff Report

MADISON COUNTY — Three weeks after she was last seen, police are still searching for missing teen Brookelyn Farthing.

“We’re still receiving tips from the community,” said Trooper Paul Blanton with the Kentucky State Police. “Troopers and detectives are following up on leads, but we have no new information to report.”

KSP investigators are focusing the search on Madison, Jackson, Rockcastle and Estill counties, where the agency is asking property owners to look for any sign of the missing young woman.

As a fundraising effort, Farthing's family has begun selling t-shirts with her face on them. The money gathered from the sale will be put toward a reward fund. Anyone wishing to purchase a shirt may contact Tasha Thomas via Facebook.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is encouraged to contact call the state police at (859) 623-2404 or toll free at (800) 222-5555 or “text a tip” to 67283.
