Vietnam veterans group meeting at depot Tuesday

RICHMOND — The Madison County chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, established in Richmond in March, is inviting all Vietnam-era veterans to join.

“If you served in the U.S. military from 1964 to 1975, you are eligible to become a member, no matter where you served,” said Emerson McAfee.

“You are invited to attend the next meeting, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Blue Grass Army Depot golf clubhouse,” he said. “After you enter the main gate of the depot, turn left at the first traffic signal and the building is at the end of the street on the right (building with the awning in front).”

The meeting will last about an hour, and “we need you to help us become an important part of the Madison County veterans community.”

For more details, contact McAfee at 986-4362 or 200-5793 or by email at: emcafee@windstream.net.
