RICHMOND — Jim Freeman, 38, of East Irvine Street, and Reanell Caldwell, 39, of South Third Street, both were charged with first-degree drug trafficking after the Madison County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant 8 p.m. Monday at an East Irvine Street residence.

The deputies recovered about 650 illegal pills from the search, the majority of which were oxycodone, with an estimated value of $14,000. Freeman was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according to Deputy Willard Reardon, sheriff’s spokesperson.

Freeman and Caldwell were both lodged at the Madison County Detention Center, where they remained Tuesday evening, according to the jail’s online records.
