Special to the Register

RICHMOND — For the second year, Chick-fil-A is donating the proceeds from its Spicy Memorial Day 5K race to Hospice Care Plus.

The race is Monday at Richmond Centre. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m.

Registration is $25 on race day or $20 in advance. Both runners and walkers are welcome.

Registration forms are available at the Richmond Centre Chick-fil-A restaurant. They also can be found online at hospicecp.org or richmondkytourism.com.

The overall male and female winners will receive free Chick-fil-A for one year. Door prizes and age-group awards will be given at the end of the race.

“We are so grateful that Chick-fil-A chose to support our patients and families,” said Gail McGillis, Hospice Care Plus’s CEO. “The race is a great addition to our community, and we appreciate Chick-fil-A’s and the City’s work on something that is fun and philanthropic at the same time.”

McGillis said proceeds from the event will help support all Hospice Care Plus programs.

This is the fourth year for the Chick-fil-A Spicy Memorial Day 5K. For more details about the race, contact Chick-fil-A at 625-0388.
