On Tuesday, the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Richmond Centre will donate 10 percent of its sales to help defray the medical expenses for one of its employees, Naomi Hetrick, who was seriously injured Oct. 31 in an accident on Interstate 75.
Hetrick, 23, has been hospitalized at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington since the accident, according to her brother Jedidiah, also a Chick-fil-A employee.
“The cow invites you to ‘eat mor chikin’ on Tuesday to support one of our own,” said Heather Redick, the restaurant owner.
Hetrick, a student at Bluegrass Community and Technical College where she is pursing a degree in social work, was on her way to school when the accident occurred, her brother said.
Earlier this year, she spent three weeks in the African nation of Burundi on a mission trip with the Summer Institute of Linguistics, part of the Wycliffe Global Alliance.
