RICHMOND — A woman was choked and her TV and cell phone stolen Monday when two men forced their way into her Tates Creek Avenue home, the RPD reports.

Police were sent to the home in the 300 block of Tates Creek Avenue at 6:55 p.m. The female resident told police she heard a knock at her door and when she opened the door, two men pushed their way in, the release stated.

The woman said she tried to grab her cell phone to call the police, but one of the men took the phone from her and began choking her.

The other man took her television, and both men fled in a light-colored passenger car that was parked on the street, she said.
