ARCHERY: Caudill wins world championship; Murphy takes first

RICHMOND — Madison County archers shined at the National Archery in the Schools World Championship in St. Louis, which wrapped up Sunday.

B. Michael Caudill took first place in the middle school division, while Christa Murphy took the individual world championship in the female elementary division.

Madison Central’s Ryan Long finished second in the boys high school division, while teammate Christian Carter finished fourth.

Led by Long and Carter, Central finished fourth in the team high school competition.

Chase Karzewski of Caudill, finished sixth in the boys middle school division, while teammate Nathan Carroll was 22nd, Joseph Ison was 39th and Jared Isaacs was 45th.

Haven Jacob of Caudill finished 15th in the girls middle school division, while Allison Cobb of Clark-Moores was 18th.

Farristown’s Shana Webb was 24th, Bethany Groce of Caudill was 25th, Farristown’s Nikki Hensley was 32nd and Briana Bowles of Caudill was 48th.

Cynthia Clark of Madison Southern was 15th in the girls high school division. Alyssa Lainhart of Madison Central was 44th, Keeley Foley of Madison Central was 61st and Jenna Snook of Central was 84th.

Bradley Long of Central was 16th in the boys high school division. Jason Meade of Central was 18th, Jonathan Long of Central was 62nd and Austin Rieck of Central was 116th.
