How to Shelter-In-Place

Five simple steps to SIP:

 1.    Move inside immediately.

 2.    Close and lock all windows and doors.

 3.    Turn off ventilation system(s) and all fans.

 4.    Enter and seal your chosen room with plastic sheeting and duct tape.

 5.    Stay tuned to local stations on your portable radio for further instruction.

PRIMARY ACTIONS: Shelter-In-Place; Evacuate

SECONDARY ACTIONS:  Exit Shelter-In-Place; Relocate

EAS – Emergency Alert System

Sirens – outdoor warning system

Advisor Alert Radio – indoor warning system

EOC – Emergency Operations Center
