McConnell to visit chemical-agent destruction plant Monday

RICHMOND — U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell will be in Madison County next week to tour the chemical agent-destruction pilot plant at the Blue Grass Army Depot.

McConnell is slated to tour the plant Monday afternoon after which he will have a brief interview session with members of the media, who have been invited to participate in the tour, according to a news release from the Blue Grass Chemical Stockpile Outreach Office.

McConnell is visiting the plant to get a first-hand look of the progress since his last visit, the release stated.
