MADISON COUNTY — Two important deadline are approaching for residents and candidates in Madison County.

According to a news release from County Clerk Kenny Barger, county residents wishing to change their political party affiliation in time to vote in the 2014 primary must have their registration cards postmarked to the county clerk’s office by Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The deadline only applies to people in the county wishing to change their party affiliation. Anyone wishing to register for the first time will be able to do so until April 21 of next year, the release stated.

Voter registration cards can be completed at the county clerk’s office at the Madison County Courthouse in Richmond, 101 West Main St., or the branch in Berea’s City Hall, 212 Chestnut Street.
