UNION CITY — The next community event at Union City is a pancake breakfast, Saturday, Feb. 9, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Mark your calendar and plan to be with us.

On Monday night, Union City Christian Church hosted the area men’s fellowship meeting. There were 61 men present from 15 different churches. Greg Herriford of Teen Mission USA was the speaker.

The Wednesday morning storm passed through quickly and we have not heard of any damage. Hope all is well at your house.

Our sympathy goes out to the family of James William Harris who died Tuesday.

He lived in the Union City area all his life, except for the military and, the past few years, he has been in assisted living. He recently was living at Arcadian Cove.

He was known as the mail man for many years as he delivered Union City mail. Everyone would agree he was a very good man.

Happy birthday this week to Timothy Parke and Teresa Thomas, Friday; Jake Duerson and Spence Thomas, Saturday; Paula Ramsey, Sunday; Francis Lanter and Donna Masters, Monday; Bo Gabbard, Wednesday; and Jeremy Steele, next Thursday.
