Four-year old is top fundraiser in Walking for Wishes

RICHMOND — Vanessa Workman, age 4, of Waco Elementary School, came in first place for raising the most money in the recnt Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Walking for Wishes event at the Eastern Kentucky University track.

She walked one mile and raised over $200 for children in need. She was rewarded for her efforts with two tickets to Dollywood and two tickets to the Aquarium of the Smokies.

She is the daughter of Chris and Davina Workman, the sister of Kareyann Workman, a granddaughter to Ricky and Loretta Conner and Sally Workman. She’s also the great-granddaughter of Leonard and Carrie Wilder, Raymond and Lucy Conner and Raymond Jones.
