I had a great time at the Halloween carnival at the Kirksville Community Center.
I was able to walk the cake walk with my mom. We did not win anything, but it was fun anyway.
I watched her try her hand at the games of golf and hillbilly toss.
Of course, we had to play some BINGO. It would not have been a carnival without bingo.
It all added up, for me, a night of memories. Thanks, community center.
On Oct. 18, Josh Logan will perform at the community center for a concert and a dance.
The fun will be from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Admission cost will be $5, but kids under the age 12 will be free.
This is not only a fundraiser for the center,. It also will be a food drive for the Full Gospel Tabernacle.
Bring your can items or non-perishable items to the center. Billie Battles will make sure the church gets those items for its local food pantry. This will be going on over the next three months.
Plans are already in the making for the Nov. 2 arts, crafts and vendor fair at the community center. Billie is accepting applications now. Visit Facebook at email@example.com.

Can you believe such cool weather in mid July?
Refreshing. That’s the word one TV weatherman described the upcoming days when temperatures will be in the 70s with virtually no humidity and lots of sunshine. Can you believe that in the middle of July? We can live with that, can’t we? We may even get close to setting a record for morning lows later this week. This has certainly been the year for strange weather!
