KIRKSVILLE —

Hello everyone.

I have more reminder announcements for the upcoming month. September is always a busy month in Kirksville. It is Kirksville Day on Sept. 28.

The first planning meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the community center. You can call Bill Golden for extra information. There is also a Kirksville page on Facebook that will be loaded with information.

The first meeting will be to help organize all the usual events, booth set up at KCC, soup beans and cornbread, church events, cloggers, corn hole, dunking booth, pie and cake auction and much more. We want there to be a lot more events, so bring your ideas.

Susie is having her fish fry on Saturday night, Sept. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. instead of the usual Friday night.

She is making the switch because her grandson is playing football for Madison Central. You know how it is. You have to see those grandchildren in their sports events. Susie and Doug are always in the store, just for us. I am glad she has the opportunity to be part of her grandson’s life. So don’t forget the night change.

Josh Logan will be at the Kirksville Community Center on Sept. 20. Bill Golden told me that there was a good crowd for the August concert. He hopes the crowd will continue to grow. This is a fundraiser for the community center.

Don’t forget the Hinson concert at The Full Gospel Tabernacle at 11 a.m. Sept. 15. This is the church's homecoming. There also will be singing by the youth group. It will be a fun day in the Lord. Of course, there will be a pot luck meal as well. There will be no evening service.
